ACTION PISTOL MATCH
Open to the Public
Shooters of all skill levels and Spectators welcome!
(Spectators must wear eye and ear protection).
Set up begins at 8:30 AM.
Match Registration begins at 9AM.
Match starts directly after the 9:30 AM required Safety Briefing.
Cost to participate in the Match: $10.
You must have a valid NYS Pistol Permit to participate.
Seating may be limited; bringing a chair is recommended.
HRGC is a “Cold” Club: no loaded firearms are allowed on the premises unless you are on a firing line.
Build your skills without complicated or costly equipment.
“Action Pistol” uses defensive shooting concepts and everyday carry gear in simulated real-world scenarios that emphasize both accuracy and speed.
IDPA cardboard targets, that have a vaguely humanoid shape, are used to provide a fun, practical way to practice shooting in defensive situations under pressure.
